Recent Projects

The Kasaan-Mt. Andrews project is located on Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska.  Exploration work at Kasaan has consisted of drill holes for both exploration and confirmation. The Mamie and Mount Andrew mines in the Mount Andrews area were discovered in 1898-1899 with eventual production from these two mines and the Stevenstown mine located between them totaling 5729 mt Copper, 1.74 mt Silver and 216 kg Gold, with the last production at each property in 1918.

Lucky Shot is a high grade, shear hosted, gold deposit located in the southern flanks of the Talkeetna mountains approximately 75 miles north of Anchorage.  AES geologists and local hires have assisted in core logging, spotting drill holes, core cutting and sampling since exploration drilling commenced at Lucky Shot in 2005.

Fog

KUY

Located near the south shore of Lake Iliamna, KUY was drilled in the summer of 2008. AES also completed eight lines of magnetometer survey and assisted in an IP survey run by Zonge Geophysics.

The Fog prospect was originally identified by soil sampling. Summer of 2008 saw two drill holes to 500' completed on the property, along with two lines of IP by Zonge Geophysics.

The Kamishak gold/copper property is located on the Alaska Peninsula.  Limited exploration in the 60s and 90s identified high-grade Copper and Gold mineralization associated with intrusive breccias controlled by a north-northwest trending structural zone.

Chignik

Alaska Earth Sciences has assisted our clients with regional reconnaissance of the Chignik area over several summers. Rock chip samples, BLEG samples, soil samples, and core samples have been collected. AES has also provided a magnetometer and operator to the projects each summer.

Forty Mile

The Fortymile Project is an active program exploring for Lead, Zinc, Silver and Copper in the newly discovered base metal occurrences in the Fortymile Mining District.  The project ranges from advanced exploration drilling to grassroots prospecting on a district-wide scale.

Alaska Range

AES crews have supported work in the Alaska Range for the past two summers providing geochemical sampling and camp management.

AES crews have supported work based out of Port Alsworth on Lake Clark for the past two summers providing geochemical sampling and geologic mapping.

Palmer Project

The Palmer Project is Copper/Zinc Massive Sulfide deposit near Haines, AK.  Two AES geologists logged core from 2 drills from early June 2008 until autumn 2008.

More recent international experience includes work in Australia at the Mt. Todd saddle reef gold deposit, approximately 250 km southeast of Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia. AES geologists primarily logged diamond drill core and spotted drill holes during the 2007 exploration drilling program.
